Focusing her academic career on lifestyle and entertainment reporting, and audio editing,
Carolyn has also delved into social media management, content creation and communications.
Carolyn has her Bachelor’s of Psychology degree, her Child and Youth Care Diploma and is
in her final year of her four-year Bachelor’s of Journalism degree. She is dedicated to music and entertainment, mental and sexual health advocacy and is also seeking opportunities to expand her journalistic coverage to include other issues and topics. Her dedication lies at the intersection of spreading knowledge and awareness to connect people.

Carolyn has been able to put her journalism skills and talents into producing podcasts and news reports. She's also been able to advance in her skills by interviewing artists for podcasts.

Carolyn always had a passion for writing and it developed into raising awareness revolving certain issues. From writing around issues such as mental health, Carolyn branched out and found a love in keeping people updated with the news in the music world. This led her to be involved with two different music companies, Sparky and Front Porch Music. These companies give smaller artists a platform to be seen by people in their community.

Carolyn has always enjoyed being behind the camera as it was a form of escapism and story telling for her. But, she has also found a love with telling her story while being in front of the camera.

Carolyn was able to put her editing skills to the test. She worked with her colleague, Tanzila Patel, to bring a story on how Nuit Blanche's Etobicoke hub would be right at the fingertips of Humber College students and those around the surrounding area.
Carolyn had a blast while going to Boots and Hearts. She obviously had to share it with the world in a quick TikTok video.

Carolyn had the opportunity to review Robyn Ottolini's latest EP "Growing Up To Do" and had it published through Front Porch Music.
Throughout her academic career, Carolyn looked into relationships and mental health. This is a feature she did on Felicity Shaw (pseudonym) and how one lengthy toxic relationship changed her life indefinitely.
